Recently, KPW commentator and part-time roving reporter Blair "the Flair" found the opportunity to catch up with KPW fan favourite Stix about the after-effects of the injury he recently suffered at the nefarious hands of "The Natural" Steve Jordan and "The Demolition Man" Shane Carver.
BLAIR the FLAIR: Stix, KPW fans last saw you at KPW "Halloween Howl 6" when "The Natural" Steve Jordan and "The Demolition Man" Shane Carver both really did a number on your knee. Though you won the match against Steve Jordan by disqualification, it was a Phyrric victory, as the damage to your knee required surgery. Via some interesting photos you've provided, I see that you've gotten the stitches out - does that mean things are on the mend and the surgery was successful?
STIX: Yeah, dude, the surgery was one hundred percent successful. Now I'm on the hard road of rehabilitation and training.
BtF: What sort of rehab has been suggested for your injury?
STIX: Lots of physiotherapy and general fitness... and rocking out on the drum kit twice a day!
BtF: More importantly from KPW fans' perspective, how long do you expect to be out of the ring?
STIX: Six months from my surgery until I can get some payback in the squared circle!
BtF: KPW's next show is currently scheduled for Saturday the 26th of January in Tauranga, and local man Steve Jordan is more than likely to be present. I'm assuming you won't be medically cleared to wrestle at that event, so you may or may not be present as a spectator - what are your feelings towards "The Natural" for putting you on the bench for so long?
STIX: At the start, I was in a bit of a rage, as those boys knew I had an existing injury and they purposely went for it because they're sore losers! The more I think about it, the more I should thank them for making me get the surgery which I had been putting off. 'Cos in six months, I'll be partying with the best of them and ready to beat their bodies like the drums they are!
BtF: Any message for "The Natural" Steve Jordan and/or "The Demolition Man" Shane Carver?
STIX: As for you boys in the "Elite", I know how the game is being played. I may rock up on Saturday January the 26th (at KPW "BAYS WRESTLEFEST 2", at Tauranga's Queen Elizabeth Youth Centre, 73 Eleventh Street) to check out what dirty deeds you have planned. But know this... when you hear the sound of my drums beating, you know Stix is coming for a bit of "body percussion". Your bodies will become my drum kit and I will beat you until you quit!
BtF: Any holiday season wishes for the KPW fans?
STIX: I would like to thank the KPW fans and the Stix army for their support and messages other the last couple of months. Also, would like to thank all the KPW staff and crew. Cheers everybody! Rock on!
